The world wide web is a wonderful place! I have now met a Szajna cousin. His name is Janusz. He now lives in Burlington,Ontario,Canada but was born in Southeast Poland near Rzeszow. He lived in West Germany for 3 years before leaving Poland as a political refugee in 1987.His family is as follows...

He has researched various Szajna's and traces them back to a very old church in a village of Haczow. There were 2 families that founded this village in the XIV century-the Szajna's and the Ekiert's.
We don't know our exact relationship but we do know we are cousins. Szajna is NOT a common name and every one he has ever come across has traced back to Haczow,Poland.
