Many members of this family and its ancestors worked in potteries/porcelains of Trenton,NJ, such as Stangl, Cybis, Lenox, Scammel China and Bohem.  Gale Stevens Szajna  worked at Stangl two summers.
Gale decorated the ash tray and the sponge effect on the candle holder. The plate is an example of the decorating Elizabeth Riley Stevens did. Her mother Anna worked at Scammel China.
